Mum's Aldi shopping list that feeds her family of 4 for £25 a week

With many of us still feeling the strain after Christmas and with another week of the month to go one Mum has shared how she feeds her family for £25 a week.

Mum-of-four Natalie Less was challenged by Aldi herself to feed her entire family allowing herself to only spend £25 per week in store, reports MirrorOnline.

For perspective, according to figures the national average family's weekly food shop costs around £60.

Speaking to MirrorOnline, she said: "My family and I had a really special Christmas but this inevitably meant that I spent more than I should have.

"I accepted the challenge because I need motivation to get creative and to push myself to cook on a tight budget."

Below is Natalie's one week meal plan:

Monday : Breakfast: Smoothie. Lunch: Eggs/ avocado on toast. Dinner: Vegetable rice

Tuesday : Breakfast: Porridge. Lunch: Rice, chicken and mixed peppers. Dinner: Halloumi and Asparagus Kebabs

Wednesday:   Breakfast: Cereal. Lunch: Meatballs and leftover vegetables. Dinner: Chicken Fajitas 

Thursday:   Breakfast: Cereal. Lunch: Vegetable soup and bread. Dinner: Pasta, olive oil and garlic granules.

Friday:   Breakfast: Smoothie. Lunch: Omelette and salad. Dinner: Spaghetti and pesto sauce 

Saturday:   Breakfast: Smoked salmon and eggs. Lunch: Baked beans on toast. Dinner:  Chicken, asparagus, potatoes

Sunday:   Breakfast: Eggs and chilli flakes on toast. Lunch/Dinner: Sunday roast.

With her shopping list which is detailed below, Natalie managed to make meals including chicken fajitas as well as her own vegetable rice.
