A mum almost threw up after discovering she was chewing on a 'FINGERNAIL' she claims she found in a McFlurry - putting her off McDonald's for life.
Melissa Dean, 34, was enjoying her Smartie McFlurry on November 9th when what she had thought was a colourful chocolate treat in her mouth turned out to have a 'weird' texture and was 'not as crunchy' as it should have been.
Upon spitting it out, the mother-of-two was left gobsmacked to discover what she believes to be a fingernail had allegedly found its way into her ice cream.
The stay-at-home mum usually treated herself to McDonald's once or twice a month however she admits the incident has put her off having McDonald's in the future.

McDonald's claimed it was the first time their Thetford restaurant had been made aware of it and encouraged Melissa to contact their customer services.
Melissa, from Thetford, Norfolk, said: "I was eating the McFlurry, got about half way through and felt something crunch in my mouth.
"I thought it was just a Smartie at first, but the texture was weird. It was kind of crunchy but not as crunchy as a Smartie, and then I felt it on my tongue and was like 'Um, what is that?'

"I have autism too so I’m pretty sensitive to different textures, like if there’s a texture I don’t like it makes me feel sick.
"I spat it out and there was the nail. I literally felt like I was going to puke, it was so gross.
"I honestly don’t want to think about how the nail ended up in there. I imagine someone was biting their nails or something at work.
The McFlurry had been ordered on Uber Eats and came alongside a Quarter Pounder meal and a Happy Meal totalling £19.51, but Melissa says they were all sealed in the bag when they arrived.

Melissa said: "I ordered it from the Uber Eats app, so it was all sealed up when it got here.
"It was only the McFlurry that had an issue. This McDonald's was my regular one, and I've never had anything like this happen before.
"It didn't come from the delivery guy, there was a lid on the McFlurries and they were in a sealed bag with the rest of the food.

"It really has put me off going to McDonald's in the future."
A McDonald's spokesperson said: "This is the first time our restaurant in Thetford has been made aware of this.
"Food safety is of the utmost importance to us and we place great emphasis on quality control, following rigorous standards to avoid any imperfections. We would encourage the customer to contact our customer services team directly."
