Mum pays £22,700 for daughter's nose job to stop anti-Semitic bullying at school

A mum who got her daughter a nose job when she was just 14 to put an end to cruel anti-Semitic bullying says it was 'the best money she has ever spent'.

Loren Lahav, 56, started saving up money to get her daughter Asher the procedure when she was just 12.

The mum, from Las Vegas, says Asher was constantly bullied about her nose at school with people calling her 'Jew nose'.

Asher became very insecure to the point she was pleased to wear a mask to cover her face during Covid times.

She would also wear heavy make up and contour her face to try and conceal her nose .

Mum Loren told the New York Post the bullying was affecting her daughter a lot emotionally.

"It really wasn’t a vanity thing, there were a lot of mean girls. They were Instagram private messaging her," she said.

"On the outside, she appeared strong and tried to be the makeup girl, but she was really unhappy."

Loren, a life coach, said she was worried about the lasting impacts the bullying could have on her daughter.

It took two years to save the $30,000 (£22,700) needed to pay for travel to see the surgeon and have the operation done, but eventually Asher went under the knife.

"It was the best money I ever spent in my entire life to see my daughter happy," Loren says.

She says she refused to listen to any criticism as wanted to see her daughter happy.
