A mother has been left "overwhelmed" after her dead son's jacket was found following a social media campaign.
Sharon Marie Jones lost the coat while walking around M&S with her family, and was left heartbroken at the prospect of someone else wearing it as it belonged to her son who Ned, who died in a car crash three years ago aged five.
It still had his name inside and was often worn by her sons Tomi, 12, and Cai, five, which prompted the hairdresser to make a desperate Twitter plea.
"I can't bear the thought of someone else wearing this jacket," Sharon wrote Wales Online .
"Cai loves it because it has Ned's name in it - he was only 18 months old when Ned died.
"Ned loved the jacket because it also has Tomi's name in it. It is so much more than just a jacket to me."
The post garnered hundreds of responses - including one from former Countdown star Carol Vorderman.
However, just as all hope seemed to be lost, someone got in touch saying it had been handed in at a cafe.
"It is just a jacket but it has obviously struck a chord with people," Sharon said.
"Still feeling overwhelmed by the support on here with regards my son's coat.
"It must be difficult to understand exactly how much it meant to me to have the jacket returned, and yet kindness and compassion has been shown.
"My youngest son happily wore the jacket to school today."
