A mum-of-two was "extremely concerned" after she claims to have found a piece of "broken glass" in an OXO stock pot.
However, after the item was returned to the company for tests however, the suspected glass was found to be crystallised salt.
Ceri Bruinsma was making spaghetti bolognese for her two children on Saturday, January 8, when she noticed what she believed was a sharp bit of glass in the stock pot.
Ms Bruinsma, from Walton said she had only realised there was 'glass' in the pot because she used a spoon to scoop out the stock.

OXO told the ECHO that their consumers' safety was of the utmost importance, and had requested the collection of the item for analysis as quickly as possible.
The mum-of-two said: "I was extremely concerned and only noticed it because the glass was quite big.
"I'm concerned someone else might have that problem and not notice.
"I was making a meal for the kids which makes it even more worrying.
"I scooped it out with a spoon because I was only using half of the pot in the bolognese - otherwise I would have just dropped the whole thing in and probably not have noticed.

"I noticed it and picked it out with my finger - it was sharp. My friend said it could have been plastic off the lid but it's not.
"I've got no idea how it got in there.
"I'm just lucky I was only using half this time and noticed it."
Ms Bruinsma was making the food for her two children, who are aged eight and 10.
She continued: "I've got two kids and my youngest has got autism and ADHD and is a very fussy eater so getting him to eat anything is an effort.
"I had it on my finger but I'd never have been able to show him as he'd never eat anything again if he saw.
"He's got a fear of foods and that would put him off anything for life."
A spokesperson for OXO told the ECHO : “This product can crystallise, and dissolve again once cooked.
"However, consumer safety and quality are of the utmost importance to us, which is why we’ve requested the collection of the item from the consumer as soon as possible to allow us to analyse this."
On Wednesday evening, a spokesperson for OXO got back in touch with the ECHO to say that lab tests had confirmed the item was salt.
The company said: "The lab tests have come back and it has been confirmed that it is indeed salt and not glass.
"It will naturally dissolve when used during the cooking process.
"The team at the careline have left a message for the consumer to explain the situation to her and we will be offering her some vouchers as goodwill for the concern it caused her."
