Mum-of-six's devastating death from coronavirus as all her children test positive

A mother-of-six has tragically died of coronavirus with all her children also testing positive for the deadly disease.

Brenda Martinez, 43, had been in hospital for a week and in a critical condition for her final three days before she died on Monday, the family confirmed.

She had initially showed mild symptoms and had been isolating in her room at home in Palmdale, Los Angeles, until she began having trouble breathing.

The family are still unsure where Brenda, who was diabetic, contracted Covid-19 from.

Her children whose ages range from two-19 have also tested positive but none of them are showing serious symptoms, CBS local reports.

A gofundme page was set up to help the family while Brenda was in hospital.

It read: "Hello everyone. I’m making this page for my sister in law Brenda who is currently in the ICU in severe critical condition/life support.

"She and all 6 of her children tested positive for Covid-19.

"Because of her condition, she is unable to care and provide for her children. Anything is greatly appreciated and thank you in advance."

Before Brenda's devastating death, her emotional sister-in-law Crystal Acosta Torres told CBS in an interview: "She's amazing.

"She’s very strong, you know. She’s incredible. She will go above and beyond to help anyone in need, you know.

"She’s always there for you when you need her, an amazing mother."
