Mum-of-six given weeks to live after cancer diagnosis makes emotional plea

A mum-of-six given just weeks to live has launched an emotional plea for help to prolong her life, saying she's not ready to leave her family.

Leanne Mallory, 34, underwent surgery for stomach cancer earlier this year, but doctors discovered it had already spread to her abdomen.

She has now been told there is nothing medics can do, so she wants to buy alternative medicine to make the most of her limited time with her children.

Leanne was told that intensive chemotherapy could be fatal.

She told Leeds Live : "I felt empty when I first found out. It didn't seem real and last Thursday when my consultant told me there was nothing at all they could do, as my cancer was too aggressive, I felt like the biggest failure ever.

"The fear was overwhelming. The only thing running through my mind was my babies and the thought of leaving them behind with out a mam. It rips me apart.

"I'm not ready to leave my family and friends. I can't put into words how much it hurts.

"In nine months my world has been ripped apart. It goes from one extreme to another."

In a bid to delay the side effects of the cancer, Leanne has turned to cannabis oil as an alternative medicine.

However, it costs £375 for a small 15ml syringe - which has prompted the doting mum to  set up a GoFundMe page  asking for £5,000.

"I'm not ready to quit," said Leanne. "I have six beautiful kids I need to keep fighting for.

"But chemo is no longer an option. This is the only hope I have left.

"I'm hoping there is still some faith left if the human life and that you will help me on my journey.

"I currently have a 15ml syringe, which only got funded by taking money saved for a family holiday for me and my babies.

"But financially I can not keep funding it.

"I would be ever so grateful if you lovely people could help. Even if it's £1 it's £1 closer to my next 15ml."

More than £1,000 has already been donated by supporters - and Leanne said she has been overwhelmed by the response from many people, including complete strangers.
