Mum of Nottingham man who died in Spain demands justice as authorities investigate nightclub incident

The mum of a Nottingham man who died abroad has demanded justice from local authorities. Dad-of-two Tobias White-Sansom, originally from Radford, died in hospital five days after an alleged incident near a nightclub in Magaluf on the Spanish island of Majorca.

He is the brother of Nottinghamshire entrepreneur Maximillian White, who has made his wealth from medicinal cannabis and owns a property on the holiday island. Mr White-Sansom died on July 31 after reportedly being kept in an induced coma for several days after being rushed to hospital following the incident on July 26.

His family are now trying to bring his body back to the UK. Mr White-Sansom's mum Lorraine Thompson has now made an emotional plea for her son to receive justice.

Speaking to Sky News from Spain, Ms Thompson said: "It's absolutely horrific. I've had meltdowns where I've wanted to go home. I'm currently faced with a situation where I'm having to stay here and listen to this story over and over again.

"That causes me so much pain as a mum and I just want to run away. But then there's another part of me that wants justice for Toby." According to Sky News, Spanish Police have confirmed judicial authorities are investigating the sequence of events that led to Mr White's death but could not comment further about the incident.

His cousin Ricardo Capone previously said the news had left the family "devastated". Mr Capone said: "He was living in Dubai but he is a Radford lad. We need to bring his body back home." In a letter to Nottinghamshire Live, the family said: "Tobias (Toby) White-Sansom is a loving father to two young girls, aged one and four. He is a kind-hearted, hardworking dad with a large family and countless friends.

"We are fighting with our embassy to have Toby’s body returned to the UK for further examination and the involvement of a British law firm to oversee this case." In a statement, the Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Office said: “We are supporting the family of a British man who has died in Mallorca and are in contact with the local authorities.”
