The mother of James Bulger has offered to meet the parents of tragic schoolgirl Ana Kriegel.
Two-year-old James was brutally murdered by child killers Robert Thompson and Jon Venables in February 1993.
While 14-year-old Ana Kriegel was sexually assaulted and violently beaten to death in a horrific murder in May 2018.
Ana's case was brought before the Central Criminal Court in Dublin earlier this year.
After a seven week trial, two 14-year-old boys were ultimately found guilty murdering the schoolgirl in a derelict farmhouse in Lucan.
Both cases attracted huge media attention, and led to an outpouring of support from members of the public.
And James' mother Denise Fergus has said she will happily meet Ana's parents Geraldine and Patric to offer some advice - but only if they are willing to do so.
She told the Irish Daily Star: "My heart goes out to Ana's parents. If they ever want to get in touch with me I hope they don't hesitate to do so.
"That's what I'm here for.
"If I can help in any way, even if it's just to talk to them then 100 per cent I'm there.
"I would fly over to meet up, but I'm going to leave it up to the Kriegels because if they don't want to, I don't want to bother them."
