Mum of 'murdered' Sean McKay shares heartbreaking 'Hope you're dancing in the sky' video tribute

The distraught mum of ' murdered ' Sean McKay has shared a heartbreaking video tribute to her tragic son.

The 23-year-old young dad died after being allegedly attacked while walking home from work, on St Margaret’s Drive, Dalry in October.

Members of the public frantically tried to save him but he was tragically pronounced dead at the scene.

Gavin McVey, 38, is now facing one charge of murder in connection with Sean's death.

Now Sean's family, left 'broken' by his death, are preparing to mark their first Christmas without him.

They have vowed to remember the cheery dad-of-one as he will be ‘forever loved’.

His mum, Debbie Dowd, shared a Tiktok of him during happier times with 'I hope you're dancing in the sky' lyrics along with an emotional tribute.

She said: "Ten weeks my son!!

"Ten whole weeks, 70 whole days, 1680 hours, 100800 minutes, 6048000 seconds without you!

"Our lives are destroyed now and my beautiful grandson will never know his Dadda, his doting daddy who would have taught him so much.

"Miss and love you so much Sean McKay, you will be forever loved.

"You should be doing all this today!

"Making new memories, not one's without you.

The family have rented a private screening at Cineworld in Glasgow to see Spiderman in memory of Sean, who was a huge Marvel fan and will celebrate Sean’s life as he had been ‘buzzing’ to see the movie himself.

Mum Debbie told the Daily Record: “We are just heading to Cineworld in memory of Sean for Spiderman.

“He was so buzzing to go with his friends, so a group of us are now going instead.

“We have booked a private viewing of it in his memory.

“He was such a huge marvel fan.”
