The mum of a teenage boy who was gunned down and stabbed in a terrifying gang attack feel sorry for the killers as they are 'just children '.
Keon Lincoln, 15, suffered a "brutal" attack that lasted approximately 40-seconds outside his home.
Heartbroken mum Sharmaine Lincoln, of Handsworth, had heard a ruckus outside the family property and rushed to her dying son's aid, but sadly nothing could be done to save him, reports Birmingham Live.
Incredibly, she later told friends that she feels sorry for the killers and their families.
Friend and pastor Neville Popo stated: "Sharmaine has looked to see these young people sat in the dock. It touched her heart to see them. Her words are 'they're just children.'
"She feels sorry for the children because they are just children.
"I don't know if she's ready yet to forgive. She sees them as just children. Her heart at the moment is just bleeding for Keon."

He added: "She wants to put his name to rest. She wants to be able to see that those have been convicted of a crime and justice is done.
"But at the same time, she believes that the impact of the families of those young people must be as devastating for them as it is for her losing a child."
Keon tragically died two hours after the attack at Birmingham Children's Hospital.
Rev Popo, who knows Sharmaine through the Wesleyan Holiness Church in Handsworth, added: "She finds it very painful to talk about it.
"It is a tragedy and it is something we really do need to come together as a community to try and find ways of engaging young people across the city.
"These types of crime are really heinous, devastating the lives of families - it's destroying them.
"It's difficult to process and understand what could have happened to have warranted Keon's death. We're still not clear on a motive."
Those responsible have now been brought to justice after four-week-trial at Birmingham Crown Court.

Two 18-year-olds - Tahjgeem Breakenridge, from Balsall Heath, and Michael Ugochukwu, from Edgbaston, pictured - were convicted of murder yesterday.
A 14-year-old boy from Birmingham, who fired the fatal shot, and a 16-year-old boy from Walsall, who cannot be named for legal reasons due to their age, were also found guilty of murder.
The 14-year-old was also convicted of possessing a firearm with intent. The 16-year-old, Breakenridge and Ugochukwu were found guilty of possessing a knife.
Today, Kieron Donaldson, 18, of Aston Lane, Perry Barr, was cleared of murder but found guilty of manslaughter.
The five will be sentenced on November 29.
