Mum of four hunted by police over child neglect crimes could be in Scotland

A mother of four who is wanted by police over child neglect offences could be in Scotland.

Kathleen Lawrence is believed to be moving across the UK and has links to Dumfries.

The 32-year-old from Hampton Vale in Peterborough may be travelling in the company of her kids, however police are working to establish this.

Detectives urgently want to speak to the her in relation to child neglect offences.

Cambridgeshire Police issued an appeal asking for public support in their search. They say they want to ensure the wellbeing of her four children.

Police say Lawrence could be anywhere in England, but she is also known to have links to Bedfordshire, Buckinghamshire, South Yorkshire, Luton, Merseyside, West Mercia and Dumfries, according to a report in Liverpool Echo.

A spokesperson for Cambridgeshire Police said: “We are appealing for the public’s help to locate a woman who is wanted in connection with child neglect offences.

“Kathleen Lawrence, 32, from Hampton Vale in Peterborough, is believed to be moving across the country.

“Both ourselves and the local authority urgently need to contact her to discuss the neglect offences and to ensure the wellbeing of her four children."
