The heartbroken brother of a mum who died in her sleep has paid tribute to his "awesome and bubbly" big sister.
Mum-of four young children Mhairi Anne Mackie passed away at her family home in Bellshill on Easter Monday.
Martin McGhee shared a touching post online in memory of his sister, urging people not to put off sharing their feelings for loved ones, the Daily Record reports.
And friends have launched a fundraiser in the hope of helping ease the financial burden on the devastated family, including husband Ashley.
Martin wrote on social media: "Always tell your family that you love them. If you haven't done it for a little while go and do it, do it now. One of these times will be your last opportunity.
"My awesome, bubbly, silly big sister Mhairi Anne Mackie didn't wake up, no warning, no explanation.
"There is now a new fork in the road of my life and the lives of all my family, especially her husband and four young kids.
"We all loved you, Mhairi, very, very much indeed. So go and tell your family that you love them, time is not your friend."
Distraught pals described Mhairi as an 'amazing' person.
Stephanie Corry has launched a GoFundMe page with statement on the page said: "My amazing friend Mhairi Anne Mackie passed away very suddenly leaving her entire family and loved ones devastated, especially her husband Ashley and their four beautiful young children.
"Mhairi was an amazing wife, mum, daughter, sister, auntie and friend.
"The death of someone you love is a very difficult time and I'm setting this up to help alleviate some of the financial burden and stress that also comes with this very difficult time for Mhairi's family.
"I ask that you keep Mhairi's family and loved ones in your thoughts and thank everyone for their kind words and support at this time."
