A mum-of-eight on benefits has told of her plans to fly to Spain on holiday for a break from her kids after Christmas.
Former lap dancer Marie Buchan will spend the festivities with her children before jetting off to Spain.
The 39-year-old, from Birmingham, said she has had to take care of her kids "most of the year" while schools were shut during the pandemic.
She said: "Government claimants like myself, a mum of eight, are forgotten."
The Mirror reports how Marie claimed the government has failed to help single parents on benefits like her while bailing out businesses and furloughing workers.
She said she is keen to get back to work but claimed finding work is impossible while her kids are at home.
And she told how her kids, aged between six and 16, have been unable to attend online classes as the family cannot afford laptops.
Of her New Year Alicante jaunt, Marie said: "There’s been no turning off and I know I’m going to get a lot of negative comments but I'm going to take it.
"We all need a break, it will be time off with restaurants and friends."
She reportedly claims £500-a-week in benefits to look after her kids and said she had been invited on the Spain break.
Marie previously claimed sexism in the industry had prevented her from getting a job as a mechanic despite applying for dozens of roles with a Level 2 diploma.
She also sparked controversy when declaring life is better on benefits than in work in an interview on This Morning.
Marie also hit the headlines when she said she would spend her future wages on a boob job in Turkey worth £2,500.
And she told viewers she planned to buy a £600 horse with benefits cash.
