The mum of a missing Queensland teenager is urging anyone with information to come forward, as police continue to look into the ‘suspicious’ disappearance.

Pheobe Bishop, 17, was last seen near Bundaberg airport on Thursday, May 15, after booking a trip to Western Australia.

However, CCTV footage indicates she never entered the airport, and according to police, she hasn’t been seen or heard from since.

“Phee is still missing. Our heartache and pain is raw and real. We as a family are trying to hang onto the light of life that is our Free Spirited Gypsy Soul Phee Phee,” her mum, Kylie Johnson, wrote on Facebook on Thursday.

“Phee we need you home, we need to hear your sassy voice and feel your hugs.”

Johnson has taken to social media every day for the last week, pleading for anyone with information to contact police.

On Wednesday, a Gin Gin property where Bishop had been living with two other people was declared a crime scene.

Her flatmates told police they dropped her off at the airport with luggage. They are co-operating with officers and have provided “detailed accounts”, per the Courier Mail.

A grey Hyundai ix35 with Queensland registration 414EW3, which has been seized by police, is of interest. It has also been declared an active crime scene.

Police are appealing to the public to report any potential sightings of the car over the last few days.

Acting Police Commissioner Shane Chelepy said police hold “real concerns” for the teen’s welfare.

“We’ve got real concerns. Pheobe’s been now missing for seven days and we’ll now treat her as a missing person [that is] suspicious,” he told Peter Fegan on the 4BC Breakfast Show on Thursday.

“If any of the public have seen that vehicle and its movement or seen Pheobe in that time, we really do urgently need them to contact Crimestoppers or Policelink today.”

No one in custody as police continue to speak to people who know the teen.

Chelepy added that police are still trying to piece together her movements, per the Courier Mail.

“We’re still unpacking Pheobe’s movements and that’s the timeline that we’re putting together at the moment,” he said.

“Until we unpack that fully, until our detectives get a really good idea of her movements, I’d appeal to anyone in the whole of South East Queensland, if you think you’ve seen Pheobe, contact us.”

The teenager has not contacted friends or family in the last week. Her bank accounts have not been accessed since the day she was last seen.

Speaking to reporters on Wednesday, Detective Acting Inspector Ryan Thompson said the teen’s disappearance has been deemed suspicious as police probe the out-of-character incident.

“It has been nearly a week since she was last sighted and it’s out of character for her not to make any contact with anyone,” he said.

When asked if police believed there was foul play, he said they were not ruling out any scenario.

Detectives remain hopeful Pheobe is still alive as the investigation combs through her last movements.

“Just because we are deeming this suspicious doesn’t mean … anything sinister has happened,” Thompson said.

Pheobe is about 180cm tall with a pale complexion, long hair that’s dyed red, and hazel eyes.

She was last seen carrying luggage, wearing a green tank top and grey sweatpants.
