Mum-of-11 keeps track of kids by 'colour-coding' them - and parents love the idea

Trying to keep track of your kids' belongings can be a struggle at the best of times.

So, a mum-of-11 decided to colour code her kids to make her life easier.

TikToker Veronica, whose children are aged between the ages of 1 and 21, have each been given a colour so that both she and their siblings know whose belongings are whose.

So for instance, Donovan wears purple, Adam goes for green, and Delilah tends to wear orange.

The mum explained why she came up with the idea in a video that has been viewed almost 40,000 times.

Veronica said: "It just makes things easier for me.

"So most of their belongings - shoes, toys, clothes, blankets and everything are in their special colours.

"I actually started the colour-coding back when I only had one kid.

"It wasn’t intentional at first, but it sort of just continued and I don’t know, I really enjoy doing it.

"It doesn't necessarily mean it's their favourite colour but it usually is."

In the clip, Veronica shows each of her children running around in their colour-coded outfits.

Since being posted, the video has been liked more than 1,300 times and has received dozens of comments, many from people who thought the idea was "genius".

One person said: "Omg yes I did this for my 6 kids, it's amazing and so helpful! Even dishes too."

Another viewer commented: "I do that too!! Even though I have 3 kids lol my son is blue. Then my daughter is pink and I just had another girl and hers is purple."

"I have 12 siblings and yes we are colour coded it makes life so much easier," revealed a third person.

Someone else said: "I LOVE THIS," whilst a fifth viewer branded the mum a "genius."
