Mum-of-10 who was 'life and joy of the party' dies in horror house fire

A young mum-of-ten has passed away after a horrific blaze ripped through her home, with her family now paying tribute to her stating that she was "the life and joy of the party".

32-year-old Kelly-Marie Watton was home alone when the fire broke out at a property in North Wales on June 20, with Kelly-Marie sadly being pronounced dead at the scene of the incident.

On June 29, her heartbroken family paid tribute to the dedicated mum, describing her as "the life and joy of the party", reports The Mirror.

They added that her unexpected death has left them "in complete despair".

In a statement released by North Wales Police, they said: “Kelly-Marie Watton, aged only 32, was one of six children, having three sisters and two brothers.

“She was the eldest child to Jackie and Paul, she was a mum to 10 very beautiful children who she loved very much.

“She was also a very much adored auntie and cousin. Kelly was very well-known and very well-liked, always being described as 'being the life and joy of the party’.

“She has left her whole family in complete despair and she will be forever missed.”

The emotional tribute to Ms Watton comes as inquest into her death was opened on Monday.

Ms Watton's body was found on a sofa and her death was confirmed at 2.03am, approximately half an hour after emergency services attended the scene on the Holway estate.

The mum-of-10 was identified by police officers using photographic identification, Elizabeth Dudley-Jones, assistant coroner for North Wales east and central, heard at Ruthin County Hall.
