Mum-of-10 shares exhausting evening routine - but people are baffled by one job

A mum who shared her lengthy evening routine online has left people stunned as she was up until midnight prepping her kids' lunches, bags and toothbrushes for the next day.

American mum-of-ten Alicia Dougherty regularly shares videos on her TikTok account @doughertydozen, where she's gained 3.3 million fans.

But in a recent video, that has been viewed almost 13 million times, she showed her followers her "evening routine after my kids go to bed," and people were exhausted just watching.

Various clips show the mum tidying the house, making lunches and packing bags, all at an impressive speed.

"I unpack all of their lunchboxes and put their ice packs bag in the freezer, wash the dishes, clean up the mess they left all over my bathroom from showers, hang up their towels," she said.

She then gets puts toothpaste on all 10 of her kids' toothbrushes and sets out their school clothes out ready for a busy morning.

Alicia continued: "I pack their snacks for school and I put them in their backpacks with water for the next day.

"Then I go through all their coats and take out their wet mittens and make sure they have a nice dry pair and I make sure they have an extra face mask in their backpack."

She even puts toothpaste on their toothbrushes for them (@doughertydozen TikTok)

After their bags are packed, she starts with the housework.

She said: "Then I vacuum, make sure all the kids’ iPads are plugged in for the next day."

Only once all of that is done can she finally sit down at midnight.

Since being posted, the video has been liked more than 1.4 million times and has received more than 31,000 comments from people who were stunned by the exhausting routine.

One person said: "You’re truly amazing."

"They can't put toothpaste on their own toothbrushes? Or clean up after themselves?" said another.

A third commented: "Literally like two-thirds of those kids are old enough to do all that."

Someone else asked: "Why aren't the kids helping?"

"Oh momma. Those 10 kids are someone's future husband or wife. Please don't do this for them," added another viewer.
