Mum 'mortified' after realising she named all her children after drugs

A mum of five was left mortified after discovering she had accidentally named her children after drugs.

When pregnant with their final baby, the mum and her partner told their friends they were planning to call the boy Oscar.

The mum explained how her friends started laughing, and only then did she realise what they meant.

She told Kidspot : "He was hysterically laughing which made me confused… then he called the baby ‘an ounce’ and it finally clicked."

According to the mum, an "Oscar" is a slang term for a one oz measurement of cannabis, reports Birmingham Live

Her other kids also have names relating to drugs - from Charlie to Harry.

She added: "Charlie was cocaine, and Harry was heroin, I couldn’t see the Max connection at first - but he told me it’s a drink that has had GHB and amphetamines in it.

“I was half mortified and half hysterically laughing, hoping no one would ever pick up on it.”

She also has a daughter Billy Jo - "Billy" being a slang term used for "bong".

But there is a touching motive behind each name, she has shared, with Max and Charlie being picked by her husband, and Harry being the name of her granddad.

She told Birmingham Live: "None of it was intentional which always makes me laugh.

"But I absolutely love their names and would choose them all again, I can't imagine them being anything else."
