Mum mortified after realising daughter's princess story sounds rather X-rated

When it comes to children's television shows and movies, there's often the odd joke or comment slipped in that goes way above their little heads, intended for the parents forced to watch.

And it seems this sometimes happens with books for kids as well.

A mum named Lauren has gone viral on TikTok and entertained many fellow parents after sharing a clip of her reading a line from her daughter's princess story.

The seemingly innocent line ends up sounds rather X-rated as the mum reads and she pans the camera to show her face, eyes wide, looking a little bit mortified - her child though, is completely oblivious and tells her to read the "next one".

In the clip, posted by @porter201095, Lauren can be heard saying: "That's not my princess, her fan is too fluffy."

The illustration in the book, shows a red-haired princess holding up a feathery fan.

More than 108,000 people have since watched the video, with it garnering over 14,000 likes.

Hundreds of people also took the time to comment on the book, sharing their great amusement.

The joke went over her daughter's head thankfully (porter201095/Tiktok)

One person wrote: "When I say I spat out chocolate milk. I MEAN I SPAT OUT MY CHOCOLATE MILK."

Someone else asked: "Have you got the Christmas one? It says 'that's not my Santa, his sack is too rough'."

"Oh god," proclaimed a third.

Another said: "OMG f**ny."

A different user replied: "HOLY CRUD ME MUM WAS WATCHING."

"Dyinggggg," posted a sixth.

A seventh added: "Umm oh dear lol... imagine reading this after a few too many to drink it could lead to many questions."

"I'm sure the people who write kids books put things like this in to amuse the parents," declared a fellow mum.
