Mum mortified after daughter’s card to teacher prompts text from school

A parent was left mortified after their daughter gave her teacher a rather raunchy card, which left both parties red-faced.

Mum Brinn Williams failed to check her daughter Ruby's work prior to having a text message sent to her by the headteacher that filled her with dread.

Initially the mum had thought Ruby was maybe unwell, however, when it turned out she fine, her relief turned to concern when the teacher informed her about the 'rude' card.

Ruby had got hold of a 'colourful' card from Brinn's desk the previous night that had the words “a best friend you can have sex with” across the front, and inside it said, “How great is that?”

The preschooler, from Nebraska, USA, had asked to borrow her mum’s “rainbow stationery” the night before, and this wasn’t an unusual request.

Brinn said she didn’t think anything of it and allowed Ruby to help herself and didn’t realise she had picked up the naughty card instead, according to Mirror Online.

Brinn told US breakfast show TODAY: “She goes and does this almost every single night, so I had no reason to believe the card wasn’t going to look how it normally looks.

“I didn’t look it over before she put it in her backpack.”

Ruby can’t read yet, but she does love to draw. Ruby drew on the inside of the card as a sweet gesture for her teacher.

Brinn got a message from her school director asking her if she was “missing a card” as Ruby said she found it on her mum’s desk.

The mum said she gave Ruby permission to use stationary from her desk, but said she “didn’t know what she was making”.

Brinn said she was “so embarrassed” after receiving the text message, luckily the honest mistake made everyone laugh.

Ruby’s dad Josh was said to be mortified over the situation because the school director is the wife of his boss.

Brinn said: “I thought he was going to die.”

To prevent this from happening again, Brinn said she will now set up a dedicated space for Ruby to draw with her own box of stationery supplies.
