A mum who accidentally gave her daughter a ‘Dumb and Dumber’ haircut was shocked when the tot chopped half her fringe off to try and fix it.
Becci Taylor immediately regretted her decision to trim her two-year-old Lottie’s locks while the toddler was in the bath.
The mum-of-two knew she’d gone too short with the first snip of the scissors but had no choice but to carry on.
The 27-year-old said Lottie was left with a "hilarious" hairdo reminiscent of Dumb and Dumber character Lloyd Christmas.
Despite her parents Becci and Luke Taylor, 30, being in stitches at their daughter's new likeness to Jim Carrey’s half of the imbecilic best friends, Lottie insisted she loved her look.

But in the early hours of the next morning, Lottie clearly decided she could do a better job than her mum and crept out of bed to grab the scissors from a drawer.
As transport manager Luke got up for work, the first thing he spotted were the scissors and hair scattered across the floor where Lottie had hacked off the middle section of her fringe.
And when university student Becci tried to tell off Lottie she simply told her parents she was making herself "more beautiful".
Becci, of Haywards Heath, West Sussex, said: “Lottie’s fringe was getting really long and getting in her eyes so while she was in the bath I thought I would cut her hair.
“I’ve cut her fringe before but obviously not that short.
“She was swimming around in the bath as I was trying to cut it. I made one cut and I knew it was too short but I had to just go with it.

“I couldn’t stop laughing. When she was out of the bath and her hair was dry I was like ‘oh my god’. She really did look like the character from Dumb and Dumber.
“I sent a picture to my husband and he just replied ‘what have you done to her hair?’. We thought it was hilarious. I showed everyone.
“Lottie said she loved it. She kept asking to look in the mirror and saying she looked beautiful.”
Lottie seems happy with her DIY hairstyle - proudly announcing what she’d done at nursery.
And Becci, who was just relieved the tot didn’t injure herself during her foray into home hairdressing, has now had to hide the scissors to ensure Lottie doesn’t snip away any more of her locks.
Becci said: “She cut a big chunk right out of the middle of her fringe. There’s just this big really short patch. She was very lucky she didn’t cut her fingers.
“I think she was trying to make it better. It’s like she was thinking she could do a better job than I had.
“When I saw her I just couldn’t believe it. Not only did she have a Dumb and Dumber haircut, now it was even worse.

“I told her off and asked ‘why did you cut your hair? That’s really naughty’ and she told me she wanted to look more beautiful.
“Everyone thinks it’s hilarious. Her grandmother was absolutely wetting herself when we showed her.”
Proud parents Luke and Becci reckon Lottie, who is the polar opposite to her ‘laid back’ brother Archie, six, gets her sass from her mum.
Becci said: “Lottie is so different to our son. Archie is so laid back and Lottie is so sassy. She probably gets it from me.
“I’m definitely going to keep the pictures to show her what a mischief she was when she’s older.”
