Mum makes mortifying blunder when posting photo of cleaning hack on Facebook

A mum has been able to see the funny side after a Facebook post sharing her hack to organise her son's toys went viral - for all the wrong reasons.

The woman had only intended to show off how her five-year-old uses a LEGO case to display his Hot Wheel collection, but others were quick to point out a glaring error in the photo which she had missed.

While she was busying focusing on the impressively neat arrangement of toys behind the glass, she was oblivious to its reflection, showing her snapping the photo in her underwear.

When the blunder was brought to her attention, the mum from Australia brilliantly owned the mistake and kept the photo up, writing: "I obviously didn't look at the photo before posting.

"I'm an embarrassment to myself. But least I had a top on today."

The response sent the post viral, racking up more than 1,000 reactions as strangers thanked the mum for showing the "funny side of life", as reported by Kidspot.

One fellow mum said: "I love it and I love how you didn't think of deleting the post. Thanks for keeping it. It’s the reality of being a mum."

A second said: "Thank goodness you had your good knickers on today," while another replied: "If I had thighs like you I would never wear pants! Rock it lady!!"

A fourth commented: "Oh my lord, I haven't stopped laughing. Love your courage to own up, darling. Rock it out with the mama thighs out."

But it turns out many others hadn't noticed the extra detail in the photo and were simply impressed by her handy hack.

One wrote: "This is soo cool! Where did he collect them from? I'd love to get a collection like that for my kids."
