Mum left in stitches after her children build creepy snowman with human teeth

A mum was left stunned after her children used their grandmother's old teeth to decorate their snowman.

Stephanie Murphy, 34, from Teesside, had previously shown the gnashers to daughter Faye, four, and son Dougie, three.

But she was left in stitches after the cheeky duo decided to add them to their frosted statue while being supervised by dad Paul, 35.

School photographer Stephanie shared photos of their handiwork on social media - and admitted her children were initially afraid of the snowman.

The family were visiting Stephanie's grandmother Clarice on January 2nd when Faye suggested they build a snowman.

But the final look was not quite what Stephanie was expecting.

She said: "I look after my grandmother who lives around the corner and as we were walking to her house, my daughter Faye said we should build a snowman in her front garden to make her smile.

"So as we got there, I went in to give my grandmother a shower and my two kids and husband got to work making the snowman.

“Meanwhile in the house, I was looking for buttons for the snowman’s eyes when I found a wash bag with all my grandmother's old teeth from throughout the years.”

The mum-of-two took the pearly whites out to show her children, who were "fascinated" by them.

Dad Paul then had a 'lightbulb moment', realising that the dentures would fit perfectly on the snowman.

The result was a somewhat terrifying character – but he ended up being a big hit with great-grandma Clarice.

"At first the kids were a little scared of their new toothy snowman but quickly fell in love with it, said Stephanie.

"My grandma also found it hilarious!

"We build snowmen every chance we get, whether it’s a tiny flurry of snow or if we are knee-deep in it.

"The kids love building snowmen and having snowball fights.

“We are a very active and outdoorsy family, we have a caravan and go on lots of trips away.”
