Mum left horrified after man offers children a 'syringe' in Wester Hailes

A mum was left horrified after her children revealed they were offered what is thought to have been a "syringe" by a man driving a car in the Wester Hailes area.

The incident took place at around 4:30pm on Thursday (April 11) when a group of three children, aged 11 to 14, were walking home from the Wester Hailes Education Centre towards Currie.

A unknown man driving a black Vauxhall Corsa approached the children and offered them "something", which one of the children believed to be a "syringe".

The man reportedly said it was for kids and asked them to take it, he then followed the children for a short time before driving off.

The police confirm they have been informed of the incident and that inquiries are ongoing.
