Mum left furious after children spit on her baby son in car park

A mum was left furious after claiming she and her baby were both spat on by two children.

Daisy Sanderson, 29, was walking through a car park with her 11-month-old son Eddie when she says a liquid fell on her and her baby.

She initially mistook it for water leaking from higher up in the building, but was horrified when she realised it was spit and then saw some children standing on in the stairwell above them.

The mother-of-one, who was also with her wife and a friend at the time, confronted the children, who denied they had done it, but she says CCTV from the car park later showed they were responsible.

Daisy said she decided to go to the lift while her wife and friend waited in the queue for the ticket machine at Lincoln Central multi-storey car park.

She told LincolnshireLive : "We were just walking station going to the lift when there was quite a lot of water splashed on the floor.

"But then I could see a big frothy piece of spit on Eddie's leg.

"I was shocked - I had thought it was rain water, but as soon as I looked at his leg I knew it was spit.

"I had some on me too, and it was all over the floor - they'd obviously been doing it for a while."

After processing what had happened Daisy ran up the stairs to try and find the culprits.

"There were two boys, I'd say they were between the ages of 11 and 14, at the top of the stairs," she said.

"I asked if they were just spitting and they said no, they wouldn't spit. So I said we would look at the CCTV.

"We spoke to the security guard, who was lovely, and he showed us the CCTV which showed them doing it. But they had left by the time we saw it.

"It's inexcusable behaviour, doing something like that at a time like this.

"If they had  coronavirus  and don't know it, I would be furious if they'd given that to my son."

Daisy said she is appalled children would be allowed to behave like that.

"I don't think they should allowed to play and hang around in car parks like that," she said.

"I think the parents need to know where they are, I know kids get up to no good, but this is worse."
