A mum who challenged Boris Johnson over the dishonesty of the Tories' digital campaign has spoken out about her experiences of the NHS after almost a decade of austerity.
Page Hood demanded that the PM answer her question about why the Tories had bought ads to try and push Labour's manifesto down the Google search rankings.
But despite being pushed repeatedly Mr Johnson didn't answer her question - saying he didn't know the answer.
Speaking to reporters after the event Ms Hood slammed the Tory PM - and revealed her struggles as a mum with getting her son's ear infection treated on the NHS.
She said: "I have a little boy and twice last week we were sat in A&E for five hours before being sent on our way.
"By the time we actually got seen - sorry it is upsetting us - his eardrum was nearly bursting because it was a severe ear infection that had been ignored because A&E just don't have the staff and the time.
"It really scares me that if it was something more serious...a little boy in Sunderland lost his life to sepsis because the A&E just didn't spot it in time."
In a damning verdict, she said: "I don't understand how anyone is going to trust the Conservatives"
Asked about Tory promises to invest in the NHS she said: "No one should believe that. They've been in power for nine years."

She said: "Labour's manifesto was under a fake website made by the Conservatives. "Why would they do that if they weren't scared of Labour or their manifesto?"
She said that the PM's answer was "empty" and praised Labour's manifesto: "I read it, I think it is great. It is fully costed."
