It goes without saying that life has changed an awful lot for everyone over the last 18 months, and we're officially living in the 'new normal.'
And, as part of said new normal, we've quickly gotten used to a whole load of new customs which didn't exist prior to the pandemic, such as wearing face masks in public places and scanning QR codes here, there and everywhere.
But, while the latter might seem like a simple practice, it turns out that some people still haven't quite gotten the hang of it, like this Aussie mum, who's hilarious QR fail left her daughter in hilarious disbelief.

Australian radio host Jess Eva was left baffled when she received an usual text from her mum, who was desperate for a bit of help and advice.
"Sorry to sound dumb, but I’m not sure who to ask," the adorably innocent message began, according to a screenshot shared to Jess' Instagram page.
"Who do I send all those photos of the QR codes to? I keep taking the pictures of them. Me bloody phone’s full of them.
"I haven’t had any information from government texts or anything to say what to do with it, and I don’t want my phone full of it."

In complete disbelief, Jess responded: "Are you joking?" alongside a series of laughing face emojis. She was not joking.
Of course, Jess' mum was referring to the QR codes which you scan with the camera of your phone, before clicking on the link that appears at the top of the screen to be able to 'check in' to a venue.

But, it seems like no one ever told her - and likely lots of older people who aren't tech gurus - what to do once you actually open your camera.
After sharing the mishap on Instagram, Jess was inundated with comments calling her mum an 'icon' and agreeing that more should be done to support older generations.
Jess wrote: "Omg Mum!!!! Maybe there needs to be more explanation for our older friends re: QR codes."
"This is gold, gotta love our parents," one follower commented. "My dad hasn’t left the house since lockdown, he thinks you can’t leave the house and has no idea why shops are open."
Another added: "Oh bless her cotton socks," while a third wrote: "This is absolute gold!"
