Mum in disbelief over M&S mannequin that is the 'spitting image' of her son

A Marks and Spencer shopper had to double take on a recent trip to the store - after coming across a mannequin which was a dead ringer for her five-year-old son.

Mum Louise was strolling through the high street store when a relative spotted the uncanny likeness to her boy Austen Meges A'hern.

Both had same straight, floppy, light blonde hair... and were even wearing matching outfits.

The 48-year-old mum posed Ausetn up next to the plastic model in store in Swansea to compare the likeness.

And she said even their face and stance was the same.

Louise, from Ystradgynlais, Powys, Wales, said: “Honestly, I just couldn't believe it.

"Nobody knows their child more than the parent.

“Their facial features were the same, the mannequin’s feet stood the way Austin stood, and even the hairstyle matched the way Austin's hair was cut.

"It’s just unbelievable.”

Louise said her son could not stop laughing when he saw his “twin”, and kept touching the mannequin’s hair.

She added: “That’s just so funny. Austin kept saying ‘that just looks like me!’”

Her niece spotted the model in the store and thought it looked just like Austin, so sent snap to Louise, who showed it to the confused lad who initially thought it was himself.

Louise said: “And then he looked closer and thought ‘what am I doing there?’

"He then realised he didn’t get those clothes because the mannequin was originally wearing a pair of pyjamas.

“He then went ‘that’s not me, who’s that?’

He looked at it again, and couldn't understand what’s going on.”

Louise took him into the store to meet his 'twin' on Friday (25). Staff agreed they were very alike, so dressed the lad in a matching outfit.

It's not the first time a child has found their doppelganger while shopping in Marks & Spencer.

Ava Kinsler, three, spotted am M&S mannequin, wearing the same leggings as her, which also had her distinctive blonde curly hair.

Ava and her mother Jo Kinsler, 40, were shopping in M&S in Southend, Essex, when Ava spotted the model.
