A mum has hit out at the "playground mafia" after another mother reported being bullied while collecting her child from school.
Her post has been shared, liked and commented on thousands of times after she shared her experiences of "twelve years of school runs". Posting from the Mum Probs page on Facebook, the "sleep deprived" mum said all school playgrounds have the "same type of woman".
She said: "I’ve just seen a TikTok [video] of a woman who’s being bullied by the other mums at the school. They’re writing anonymous mean comments on her page and honestly it’s upset me.

"12 years I’ve been doing school runs now with my kids and honestly I’ve done everything in my power to avoid the playground mafia. They’re always the same type of woman. Peaked in high school and have tried desperately to hold on to feeling like a ‘someone’ since then, so they form a little mean girls clique at the school gates to gossip and intimidate other women at their big age.
"So I’d just like to say, you’re not missing out if you’re not part of the playground mafia... and you definitely aren’t better than anyone else if you are."
Other mums have rushed to praise the woman, and also share their own experiences. One mum said: "Ah the playground mafia.... thankfully I've been solo at various school gates for around the last 19 years. Wouldn't have it any other way.
"Thankfully my watch has ended and they're all old enough to take themselves. Its a breath of fresh air. I used to love it when it was raining so I could hide under an umbrella and not make eye contact with anyone."
Another said: "This is why I keep myself to myself a lot of the time saves the hassle", while a third wrote: "There's also lots of lovely mums in the playground - I met some of the best girlfriends you could ask for in the playground. I made some amazing lifelong friends".
