A mum has claimed she was questioned by a "scary" teacher at her daughter's school and was interrogated for reportedly giving her five-year-old child too much food.
The anonymous parent shared the awkward encounter on social media, writing that the teacher had challenged her on why she had packed so many snacks in the little girl's lunchbox.
She detailed to the professional that her child is a fussy eater and sometimes she will eat certain foods, while other days she won't even go near it.
Due to this, she had packed a few extra items in her daughter's packed lunch in case there were some things that she refused to eat, reports The Mirror.
In her post on Facebook, the mum wrote: "I explained to her that she’s a fussy kid, so one day she will eat something the next day she will act like its poison and not touch it.

"I’m also trying to teach her a variety of foods because all this kid would eat is nuggets and sausages and eggs if I let her."
Alongside this she shared a snap of her daughter's lunchbox, which was filled with sandwiches, crackers, ham, grapes, yoghurt and popcorn as well as a few extra tubs containing a muffin, cookies and some extra popcorn.
She added: "Here is an example of her lunchbox. The banana muffin is for morning tea, often with a banana or grapes."
The mum asked fellow parents for advice and whether they thought she had packed too much, saying: "This is my first baby in school, so yes I am still a newbie here."
Many people responded to the post, with a heated debate stirring in the comments - some were angry on the mum's behalf, while others agreed with the teacher.
One person wrote: "This infuriated me! Your child is fed, whether it’s too much, whether it’s not enough, whether it’s packaged, whether it’s organic.
"You are sending your child with something. You are trying. You are being a mother. You should NOT be questioned!"
Another said: "I don’t think she has any business questioning what you pack your child, tell her to mind her own."
However, someone else replied: "Definitely too much food, kids are not encouraged to share as you never know what other kids are allergic to also some parents would not appreciate somebody feeding their kids sweet stuff like choco cookies..."
