A mum who slashed a woman's face while high on an all-night cocaine binge after getting kicked out of a party has been jailed for two years.
Zowie Haygarth, 36, was asked to leave after becoming "rowdy" at a get-together at Chloe Smith's house in Birkenhead, Wirral, last February 28.
When she returned later to collect her bag and it was handed over to her by Ms Smith, she wielded a blade and dug it into the hostess' face.
The group of pals had been out together in Birkenhead town centre earlier in the evening and decided to "carry on socialising" back at Ms Smith's flat, Liverpool Crown Court heard.
They ended up staying awake until 8am taking cocaine and drinking, reports Liverpool Echo.
Ben Jones, prosecuting, said: "The parties continued to consume alcohol and all parties took cocaine."
He said Haygarth became "verbally abusive" and "threatened to strangle Ms Smith's dog" and "smash the place up".
Haygarth left when asked to but returned for her handbag, which Ms Smith handed to her at her front door.
Mr Jones said Haygarth began "immediately grabbing her by the hair and pulling her to the ground".
One of the witnesses said Haygarth wrapped the woman's hair around her hand before punching her repeatedly to the face.
Ms Smith felt "something very sharp" which she felt Haygarth "digging in" to her face.
She suffered multiple lacerations to her face which left permanent scars.
Ms Smith has suffered from PTSD after the attack and said the scars on her face made her feel "self conscious".
Haygarth has previous convictions from when she was a juvenile including two counts of actual bodily harm in 1999.
In April this year she was fined for assaulting an emergency worker.
David Polglase, defending, said Haygarth had "vulnerabilities and difficulties" which effect "how she behaves".
Judge Anil Murray, sentencing, said the injuries "must have been caused by a knife or a knife equivalent like broken glass or a bottle".
Judge Murray said he took into account Haygarth's "dependency issues" and is a "high risk of putting your own life in danger".
Haygarth, from Birkenhead, admitted causing grievous bodily harm.
She was sentenced to 25 months imprisonment and a five year restraining order was imposed.
