A mum has spoken of the horrifying moment her toddler son was almost strangled by string curtains.
Katie Hughes, 25, from Suffolk, said she realised something was wrong with her three-year-old son, Junior, when she heard him make a noise as if he was struggling to scream.
Junior had been leaving the family's living room to play outside last week when the £10.99 "spaghetti string" curtains got caught around his neck.
What happened next is every parent's worst nightmare as the curtain pulled Junior back, strangling him.
Luckily, as he was pulled backwards, the cord around Junior's neck loosened, freeing him.

He has, however, been left with a mark around his neck that Katie says will scab and turn into a scar.
She told the Mirror: "Hopefully it will fade. I was in the kitchen at the time.
"We'd only had them three days and when I bought them I didn't see any danger in them.
"My partner was in the living room and when he [Junior] went out to play in the garden, somehow he got tangled and it got around his neck and looped through.

"He was running forward and the curtain pulled him back, strangling him. It did loosen when it pulled him backwards.
"My partner jumped off the sofa to get him. I heard a noise - it was like a struggled cry that he couldn't let out."
Katie says Junior was "in shock" at first and wasn't crying.
She said that although her little boy is not really affected by falling over and the like, the incident has really shaken him up.

She said: "This was different. He cried all evening and we struggled to get him to bed and he was crying the next morning.
"He is a bit better. They forget for a bit don't they? He forgets then suddenly it is back into his head - you can see it - and he feels his neck. He keeps showing people it."
Katie said she pulled the curtain down "straight away" and was told by Amazon to return it, but she does not want anyone else in danger.

She said: "I didn't look at the reviews when I bought it, and I've spoken to other mums who have said they wouldn't have see any danger in it.
"I've gone back and read the reviews and there are comments about similar situations and if you look at similar products, they all say the same thing."
Katie says Amazon has now removed the product, but there are still similar ones available.
She said: "I just wanted to let people know as a lot of mums wouldn't have seen the danger."
