Potty training can be an arduous task for many parents so when someone offers some hints and tips, they are often welcomed.
But one Facebook mum thinks she has found a parenting hack that might just make the whole process a little bit easier.
In a post on the The Motherload parenting page a mum, known only as Leann, she has roped in her home smart device t help her with potty training her little son.
Leann says potty training was "a nightmare" before she turned to her Amazon Alexa for help.
The mum says she gets the device to remind the child to use to the toilet every 40 minutes - and he loves it.

She said: "I don't know if everyone has already thought of this and I'm a bit behind, but I thought I'd share.
She went on to say that it was great because Alexa addressed her son by name and asks him to go to the potty.
"He thinks it's brilliant. It's been so successful and really helped his potty training!"
The mum says after every trip to the toilet she reinforces his achievement with a sticker.
More than 300 people liked her post, with many fellow parents hailing it "genius".
One person wrote: "That is genius - our little boy would love that and much more likely to do it being told by Alexa than us I'm sure!"
Another replied: "OMG worth having the Alexa just for that!"
A third added: "Love this idea! Been trying to encourage my son to use the potty, so gonna enlist Alexa's help!"
