Mum gives daughter 'perfect' name after going into labour at a rave festival

A woman gave birth to her baby while she was attending a rave party in Las Vegas - leaving the musician performing at the time absolutely delighted.

Cristina Celis was 32 weeks pregnant when she attended the electronic dance music festival called Electric Daisy Carnival (EDC) that took place in Las Vegas on May 20-21.

Despite feeling fine throughout the weekend, Cristina started experiencing unusual pains while musician Zedd was performing.

After seeking medical attention at the festiva, she was quickly transferred to University Medical Center, where she gave birth to a baby girl.

"She decided to come out this weekend. We were there for the whole weekend Friday, Saturday," said Cristina. "Friday felt fine, Saturday felt completely fine, then just vibing to the music."

She told KVVU-TV: "Out of nowhere on Saturday night I started to get some weird pains, it’s my first baby so I wasn’t sure what I was feeling.

"Within not even an hour of everything they transferred me within 30 mins to this hospital and within 15 minutes she was here,” said Celis."

Cristina and her boyfriend, Landon Garcia, who had travelled from Santa Clarita, California, named their newborn Izzabella Daisy Garcia, with 'Daisy' in a 'perfect' nod to the music festival, which left people on social media delighted.

The couple expressed sadness at being away from their family and their baby, who had to be kept in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) for treatment.

The doctors estimated that it would take 6-8 weeks before baby Izzabella could leave the NICU.

Cristina has started a fundraiser to help cover the infant's medical bills.

The couple received an outpouring of congratulations on social media, including attention from Zedd and other artists.

After learning about the incident, Zedd took to Twitter to find the woman and express his interest in reaching out.

Zedd wrote: "I heard someone gave birth at the stage DURING MY SHOW. Can someone pls help me find the person? I'd like to reach out!"

Zedd eventually connected with the mum - leaving the musician delighted at the sweet news.

Cristina shared a photo of herself with her newborn daughter, stating that they were both safe and healthy.

In response, Zedd congratulated the mother and expressed his delight at being a part of their story.

He wrote: "CONGRATS!!!!! So happy you’re both healthy and that I had the honor to be the soundtrack."
