A mum who went to enroll her 15-year-old daughter in a new school claims to have been turned away from the premises because of her attire.
Joselyn Lewis from Texas, visited Madison High School in Houston on Monday to sort out her daughter's education.
However, she says she found herself unable to speak to anyone at the school as she wasn't permitted on the property because an administrator disapproved of her outfit.
According to the mother, she was told that her clothing didn't meet the school dress code requirements and subsequently she was asked to leave.

Initially Lewis thought she'd been mistaken for a student and tried to explain to the administrator why she was there - to no avail.
Speaking to Click 2 Houston, she said: "She went on to say that she still couldn't let me on the premises because I was not in dress code and I still didn't understand what she meant.
"She said that my headscarf was out of dress code and my dress was too short."

Lewis, who is a huge Marilyn Monroe fan, was wearing a t-shirt dress at the time featuring a photo of the icon's face, which she said passed the "finger length test".
She also had her hair up in a scarf, as she was in the process of getting it done and didn't want to wear it down.
She continued: "I can see if it's a student, they have a dress code, yes, I understand that, but I'm not a student, so I have no dress code, so who are you to tell me how to dress?
"I can wear what I want to wear. I don't have to get all dolled up to enroll her to school."
The mum, who was not aware of a parent dress code, alleges no one could show her a copy of it when asked.
The whole experience has left her feeling "furious" and she's criticised the school for not caring enough about her daughter's future.
She added: "My child's education, anyone's child's education should be more important than what someone has on, that shouldn't matter."
Madison High School have not yet responded to Lewis' claims.
