Mum fuming as passenger keeps seat reclined on flight - so gets 'petty' revenge

A woman has claimed she took "petty" revenge on the passenger in front of her on a plane after the person kept their seat reclined throughout the entire flight- even during the meal.

The livid mum did not initially have an issue with the person doing this as it is a way to get comfortable on a plane but was shocked when it stayed all the way down for the food service as well.

So, instead of asking the passenger in front to move her seat up, the mum opted to get her own back and decided to kick her chair all the way through the meal.

In her Mumsnet post, the woman, who remained anonymous, explained: "The woman in front reclines her chair as soon as humanly possible. No issue with that.

"The inflight meal comes about 45 minutes in. She is the only person in the cabin who keeps her seat reclined, bearing in mind she is sat bolt upright to eat."

The mum added it was not within her rights to ask the woman to move, despite her chair basically being pressed against her forehead during the meal.

"Instead I did the petty thing and kicked her chair throughout the inflight meal, so she had a taste of the discomfort that I have," the mum wrote.

In response, many could not understand why she did not just ask the person in front to move her seat rather than kick her.

One person wrote: "You should of just asked her to put her seat up."

While another stated: "Why didn't you just ask her to put her seat up while you're both eating?"

A third penned: "No you're passive-aggressive, you should of spoken up if you were that bothered, which you obviously are."

"I just don’t understand why you didn’t ask her? Surely makes more sense than kicking a chair," somebody else noted.
