A mum is livid with her daughter's school Easter bonnet competition as it was clear that the parents had done most of the work for the other kids.
School projects and competitions can be a great way for kids to express themselves and show off what they are capable of - but often the parents can take control.
The woman's daughter loves to do arts and crafts so was very happy to do her designing all by herself - but the mum was seething after noticing how many of the other entrants had clearly not done their own work.
She thinks the parents just wanted to 'show off'.
Airing her frustrations on Mumsnet, the woman said she does not know who has the time to do all of the project for their children.
The woman, who remained anonymous, wrote: "My child had her first Easter bonnet parade today. I have never seen or taken part in one so I didn't know what to expect. I helped my child with hers but ultimately it was her doing what she loves best cutting and sticking a bunch of junk on a hat.
"Then out come kids in absolutely immaculate bonnets clearly entirely made by their parents. It was quite cute but what exactly is the point in it?
"Who actually has time to sit there for hours with a glue gun etc and surely it's much better for the child if they at least play some part in creating it otherwise it's basically just parents showing off."
She added that she is not negative about school traditions and is happy to be involved if needed, but as her daughter loves this sort of thing she thinks it would be better for her kid to do it herself.
"In most schools do the parents make them or the kids? The worst part was that my child was obviously quite sad and deflated as I think she knew that lots were 'better' than hers which made me feel really rubbish too," she stated.
