A mum has slammed the owners of a pub after her teenage daughter was left in tears following an interview at their establishment.
The 18-year-old was applying for a position at the Stockton Arms, a hotel and bar in Hartburn village, Teesside.
Her mum, 37, said the landlady "made comments" about her daughter's outfit and the length of her skirt before quizzing the girl on her waitressing experience, according to Birmingham Live.
The parent added that her child was left upset and crying following the traumatic meeting.
Pub owners say the teen arrived wearing the "shortest skirt I’ve ever seen” and “looked like she was going nightclubbing.”
“If you didn’t like what she was wearing as you mentioned as soon as she walked in, why not just end the interview there,” the mum fumed.
She dropped her off at the pub but she “wasn’t in long” then called her “crying”.
The youngster wore a “brown skirt with flowers on, black tights, Dr Martens boots, high neck black top and an oversized leather jacket”.

She added: “My daughter's confidence has been truly knocked.
“If anything you could have advised her and helped her if she was not what you were looking for.
“You shouldn’t be judged on what you’re wearing or how you look."
The licensee, who is known as Andy, said: “She came in the shortest skirt I’ve ever seen.
“She looked like she was going nightclubbing.
“It wasn’t appropriate for an interview - it was very, very short.
“She couldn’t provide a reference so we said we’re going to have to cut it short.
“The girl got upset.”
Jane added: “I felt so sorry for her, she was so out of her depth.
“I said to my husband: ‘Bless her’.”
