Mum fires back at 'low-life' neighbour who left note criticising her parenting

A mum who found an anonymous note posted through her door criticising her parenting has said the mystery author is "going to regret starting a war with me".

The parent, who posted a photo of the typed note she received on Facebook, said they "haven't had one uninterrupted night's sleep in almost six years" due to their son struggling to nod off.

To combat the problem, the mum often turns the car on for her son to sleep in it on the driveway for about an hour and a half at a time, saying if they turn the engine off he wakes up instantly.

The technique has been noticed by an angry neighbour, who wrote a message reading: "I like most of your neighbours walk past your house a couple of times a day and notice that you have your car running constantly on some days.

"I can see your child and sometimes you in the car - while I understand you use the car to soothe or put your child to sleep, I am sure you must understand the damage you are doing to the environment.

"To have a vehicle like yours running for hours daily for no acceptable reason is beyond comprehension, if you truly cared for your children you would care about the environment you are leaving them in the long term not just your short-term convenience/comfort.

"I have raised three children and I have never had to resort to driving or using a vehicle to put my children to sleep, I understand being a parent isn't easy but taking short cuts that damage our planet (the planet you are leaving your children) is not an acceptable course of action by any standard."

It was signed off 'From a neighbour who cares about the environment and our future' - and it led to the mum slamming them as a 'low-life' who leaves notes for people they knew nothing about, as reported by Daily Mail.

She fired back that her son "loves his car sleeps" and they struggled to get him to fall asleep any other way, arguing that they don't use the method for three days each week when he is in childcare.

In an angry post, she wrote: "We haven't had one uninterrupted night's sleep in almost six years so we do what we have to do to get a well earned break.

"When I find out who this is they are seriously going to regret starting a war with me."
