A woman who bought a brand new Samsung TV was shocked after her dog uncovered a rotting steak inside the box.
Debra Congram, 41, paid £280 for the tele from an electronics firm in September.
She had intended on wrapping it up and giving it to her daughter as a Christmas present, but grew suspicious after the family cocker spaniel Oakley began showing extreme interest in it.
When the interest lasted a full week, Debra decided to open it up - and made the grim discovery of a rotting ribeye steak worth £30.
Debra, from Weston-super-Mare, Somerset, said: ''The TV was delivered directly from Samsung at the end of September and put away for Christmas as a present for my daughter.

"The dog wouldn't leave the box alone and after a week I decided to open it only to find a bag of rapidly rotting rib eye steak tucked down beside the TV.
"I felt sick for quite some time afterwards and am just thankful I'm not veggie or vegan."
Debra and the rest of the family are grateful Oakley showed such an interest in the box, fearing the rancid smell could have ruined Christmas altogether.

But the mystery of how the meat got in there in the first place remains - although Debra thinks it was a mistake.
Samsung has replaced the TV, and offered a £30 discount off of her next purchase which she's not accepted on the basis of it requiring her to "spend more money with them first."
