An 11-year-old girl has been removed from her mum's care after the parent allegedly claimed she was terminally ill for three years to rake in cash donations.
Lindsey Abbuhl, 34, has been accused of tricking hundreds of generous people by pretending her daughter Rylee had a failure of her central nervous system.
She allegedly conned locals in the American city of Canton, Ohio, out of thousands of dollars.
Abbuhl told people her daughter could scarcely eat, was constantly exhausted, taking pain medication and had regular seizures.
A medical expert conducted an examination and determined that "there is no evidence to support mother's claim that Rylee is terminally ill", according to court documents obtained by The Canton Repository.

It reports Abbuhl insists "a whole team of doctors" working on Riley are still unable to determine the source of her illness.
Abbuhl reportedly said: "Rylee sits in during her doctor appointments; she knows what's happening to her".

"So calling me a liar is calling her a liar."
Abbuhl began fundraising for her daughter in 2018.
She is accused of benefiting from gifts, handouts and donations, including a $4,500 (£3,200) GoFundMe page, being made a guest of honour at a Texas A&M softball game, and getting free tickets to Sea World.

According to a complaint filed by Children Services in Family Court, Abbuhul "has been using Rylee's 'medical condition' to obtain funding for trips, housing and other expenses for the last several years."
Rylee has been to counselling for the last three years to learn how to "process her own death," the documents say.

Abbuhl reportedly posted about Rylee's health 'journey' and hospital visits on social media.
In one post she wrote: "This little lady is my best friend!
"Continue to say prayers for her as we navigate through her medical concerns."
Last week, Rylee was taken by child services to stay with a family friend.
Rylee's father Jamie Abbuhl has been given full custody of his daughter.
