A mum has divided opinion after saying her caesarean section was "way easier" than her natural birth.
The mum said she gave birth to her second baby via c-section two weeks ago and was pleasantly surprised at how easy it was to recover from.
She said her natural first birth, which took place in a birthing pool in her own home, left her in pain and unable to "sit, stand or lay down comfortably for months".

Posting on the Facebook page The Motherload, the woman said: "Riddle me this, anyone else find their c-section far easier to recover from than a vaginal birth??
"I ended up having an emergency c section 2 weeks ago after babe number 2 decided to make an early 35 week appearance - after delivering our babe first full term, at home vaginally in a lovely birth pool 2 years ago...After my home birth I was immobilised for weeeeeeeks & in pain for months. Couldn’t sit, lay or stand comfortably.
"This time I feel like the dancing in the street scene from 500 days of summer - I can sit, stand, walk, play with my toddler - I feel like a real human!

"I’d always thought a c-section would be the absolute opposite but now I feel like the poster girl for c-sections after being the biggest home birth advocate."
Despite her happy experience other mums did not share the same experience.
One said: "I think you've been super lucky, I don't know any c-section mamas who had an easy recovery."
Another said: "Nope. Complete opposite! Home birth fine, c-section with the second which took many months to recover from."
"No I found the opposite. I recovered far faster with a vaginal birth and was out shopping a few hours after lol," added another.
However other mums agreed their own c-sections were easier.
One said: "Yes! My natural birth was a horrendous recovery, 2 sections were a breeze in comparison!"
Another added: "My section was a breeze. Obviously different people have different experiences, but I honestly found the recovery super quick and easy."
"Yes absolutely agree with you! 2 vaginal births and then the third a C-section - for me, it was the best thing ever and completely understand where you’re coming from when you say you felt like skipping down the street," said another.
