A mum discovered a secret tip hidden behind her living room wallpaper while she was re-decorating.
Charlotte Morrison and partner Yariden were stripping the old layers of wallpaper in their London home when they discovered the message left on the wall in 1997.
After posting her find on social media - and accumulating thousands of shares - she eventually got in touch with the previous homeowner.
“If you ever need to re-wallpaper this room again it will take 8 rolls of wallpaper," the note read, reports the Daily Star.

“I bought just six rolls at £17.00 per roll, I didn’t have enough, (it really p***ed me off).”
The note was signed off by a man named “Jon” and with the date “21st December 1997”.
Taking a snap of the uncovered message, Charlotte uploaded it to Facebook – with the image quickly going viral and clocking up over 5,500 likes and 14,000 shares.
She wrote alongside the image: “So decided to strip all the wallpaper layers finally in the front room, come across this. Cheers Jon.”
An update the following week revealed the London based mum-of-two revealed she had tracked down the mystery author.
She wrote: “WE FOUND JON!!
“A relative of Jon’s contacted me! Described our house and correct address.
“Only Jon hates social media, instead of statuses he writes notes. I let Jon’s relative know that social media thinks he’s a legend.”
One friend suggested the message was too good to ever cover up.
They suggested: “Please put a little frame around his message and paint or wallpaper all around it!”
In a similar tale of bizarre discoveries while bored in lockdown, Jake Brown was doing some work at his newly bought home when he discovered a secret 120-year-old tunnel.
After noticing one of the walls had different texturing, he made an opening big enough to get his head through to take another look.
To his shock, Jake discovered there was a huge area underneath his home in Plymouth, Devon, so he opened it up to investigate.
