A woman has tragically died after she was electrocuted while in the shower.
Geronima Sunilda Sanchez Aquino died just moments before she was due to bathe her two-year-old daughter who only narrowly escaped the same fate.
A malfunction in her electric heater caused her to receive a powerful electric shock, investigators said.
Emergency services scrambled to the scene but were unable to save her.
The incident occurred around 2:30pm local time, on Thursday, August 25, in the city of Berisso, in the Buenos Aires Province, Argentina, local media reported.
The 33-year-old Paraguayan woman collapsed following the deadly shock and it was only her daughter’s sobbing which alerted neighbours to the tragedy, who then called emergency services.

Investigators looking into the incident said it happened because of a poor installation and the victim’s own negligence.
They stated that it was "a bad and precarious installation with an added carelessness on the part of the victim."
Geronima was reportedly found soaking wet covered in electric wounds - but her daughter was unharmed.
Due to the nature of the incident, a Scientific Police Unit (Policia Cientifica) was called to the scene before the victim's body was taken to a morgue for an autopsy.
The authorities are still investigating the incident and the cause of death, with the case now reportedly transferred to the Judicial Department of La Plata.
