Mum devastated after no one comes to son's sixth birthday party at park

A devastated mum has posted a heartbreaking clip online after not one person came to her son's sixth birthday party.

TikTok user dawners86 took to the video-sharing platform to share her story claiming that she had invited 22 people to the party which was being held at a local park.

She explained that she planned the party outdoors to make it safer for everyone even though Covid restrictions in her area had been lifted so guests were allowed to attend, reports The Mirror.

She said: "So we're sitting at the park for JJ's birthday party, we got everything ready, his party started half an hour ago.

"He had literally zero people show up for his birthday. My poor little man."

As the mum speaks, the camera shows her son playing at the park by himself, while she sits at a table full of birthday favours, decorations and colourful cupcakes.

The captions on the video add: "Out of 22 invites... no one came... I know it's a pandemic, but it is a park, and we have reopened in my province.

"Sorry the video is shaky, I am so upset for this poor guy. He deserves better. He's amazing."

She also used the hashtags #heartbroken and #sosad.

The clip has since gone viral, being watched over 3.8 million times and attracted more than 625,000 likes.

Another wrote: "This is why we ALWAYS show. No matter what. My girl is there with a gift and a smile."

A third said: "PLEASE tell me you told him you accidentally got the day wrong."

Someone proclaimed: "Bro, I don't normally show emotions or get upset about anything but when people don't come to kids parties it is the one thing that makes me cry."

A different user added: "Happy birthday little man and don't worry about those 'friends' they showed their true colours today. You don't need them."
