Mum demands refund after son's Kicker's were left looking like this days after she bought them

A mum has expressed her anger after her son’s Kickers wore out just days after she bought them.

Dominique Scully is now embroiled in a dispute with a retail chain after splashing out on the shoes for her son to wear to school.

The 32-year-old spent £74 on two pairs of the Kickers for her two young sons from Wynsors World of Shoes, in Hanley, Staffordshire, after seeing them on an advert.

But Dominique says five-year-old Adam's shoes started to wear out within days of him returning to school in September.

She says she bought the shoes just before the start of the 2021/22 academic year.

The annoyed mum-of-two told Stoke On Trent Live : "Adam came out of school with two holes in his shoes. All the stitching had come out of both the front of the shoes.

"I'd just chucked his pair from Clarks away a week before he started school - and they had lasted him all year.

“I was really mad. I’ve been able to buy him another pair of shoes but what about the other people who haven’t got the money to go out and pay for another pair of shoes.

"I’ve bought stuff from there before and it’s been fine. I couldn't believe it."

Dominique says the shop has sent the shoes to its quality control team but the complaint remains unresolved and the shoes are still in the shop.

She added: “The shoes have the red and green tags at the back - and even one of those had come out as well.

"They were really worn down. I am shocked and for them to tell me they are not going to give me a replacement or refund is disgusting.

"It’s not right. I want a refund. I’ve had nothing."

StokeonTrentLive has approached Wnysors World of Shoes for a statement.
