Mum creates stunning under-stair playhouse for her daughter for less than £100

Scottish mum Karen Adamson has turned the space under her stairs into a stunning playhouse for her three-year-old daughter Holly.

The Home Care Manager, from Danderhall, Midlothian, put the perfect little home together in less than a day with her partner, Kevan.

An the better news is she did it all for less than £100 thanks to bargains found on B&M, Amazon and B&Q, Tyla reports .

“I did the project on a Sunday afternoon with my partner Kevan, it was 3pm by the time we started so it ended up being a late night making sure it was ready for the wee one the next day," Karen said.

The space already had a small door, so they modified it to look like one from a house and added a window too.

"We cut out a hole for the window, lined it with MDF and used skirting board for the frame, we also made the cross on the windows from MDF. All these materials were from B&Q," Karen, 37, said.

Using deals from B&M they added paint, wallpaper and a window box - then put in a some brass hardware and a working doorbell found on Amazon.

Holly is a big fan (Karen Adamson)

And her daughter is a big fan.

“Holly absolutely loves it and enjoys pretending to make dinner for everyone, although she did say 'but I haven't got a dining room’,” Karen said.

"Well...the space was a little limited."
