One mum has set a terrifyingly high standard this Halloween with her homemade Pennywise costume creation.
Although it's tempting to hit the shops to bag ready-made spooky looks for your little ones, this might just prove that putting a personal touch on things is worth all the effort in the end.
In a post on the Extreme Couponing and Bargains UK group Facebook group, the mum shared an image of her scarily-realistic outfit which has since had more than 28,000 likes and 4,000 comments.
With a simple caption, she reveals she pieced the costume together for just £21, using Primark tights, a £2 wig from Amazon, a £19 costume, a leftover balloon from a birthday party and last year's face paint.
Other members were very impressed with the creation, with one saying: "OMG wow but I think I would be running in the other direction if I saw this lol. Well done, it's fantastic."
Another commented: "Scary! Amazing but really gives me the creeps."
A third said: "This is great... I mean I wouldn't be opening my door on Halloween night. Officially the creepiest child I have seen. Fab job!"
