Mum claims she can see Jesus in Notre Dame cathedral flames

A mum has claimed that she saw Jesus in the fires that engulfed Notre Dame cathedral.

A devastating inferno at Paris's Notre Dame cathedral saw one of France's most cultural and historic landmarks go up in flames.

Built in the 12th and 13th centuries, the medieval cathedral is often seen as a symbol of the country.

And as people across the world looked on in horror, one mum has said she saw the son of God.

Lesley Rowan, from Alexandria in West Dunbartonshire, was watching coverage of the fire on Monday night when she recognised the outline of Jesus, reports Daily Record.

The 38-year-old said: "When I looked at this photo last night, I was really astounded by what I saw.

"When I look at it I see a silhouette of Jesus. I really see a vivid image.

"I shared it and asked for people's opinions - even my brother in Australia said it looks like Jesus.

Louise Blair said: "Looks like a figure of Jesus, or I am tripping?"

Dom Disanto also wrote: "I can see it pretty clear, gown and all.

"Imagine this was how god showed us he wasn’t happy with us, by using acts of god to take away ancient, beautiful monuments/ and cathedrals."

While Grant Mackenzie agreed: "Yeah I saw it straight away - it's Jesus!"

The fire began at around 6.30pm local time in Paris and quickly destroyed its stained-glass windows and the wooden interior before toppling the spire.

Hundreds of firefighters tackled the historic blaze through the night, battling to stop it wreaking complete destruction of the treasured facade.
